MVP of a Crypto Rewards for Shopping Online

GrabEasy provides Crypto Rewards for users for shopping online. Users just need to shop from their favourite brands using GrabEasy and earn rewards against their shopping price in Bitcoin. They can easily track their earnings and transfer rewards to their Bitcoin wallet or Bank Account directly from GrabEasy User Dashboard.

My role in GrabEasy was to build a MVP, conduct user testing and plan for the next steps in the product pipeline.

How I Started This Project

Starting off, I conducted user research with 25 people to understand if the users used any rewards platform before and what are they expecting a rewards platform to be.

Then decided to go with the website version for MVP without too many screens as users will often get confused with too much un-necessary content on the web app.

User Research

Research is conducted with 25 people: 12 Men, 13 Women with age 18-40.

Results:

72% of the people used a rewards/coupon platform at-least once during their shopping online.
68% of the people are happy with a website version of rewards platform than a mobile one.
Few people liked a browser extension version, but are happy with web app also.

Conducted Moderated usability test with 20 People.

10 Female, 10 Male Age ranging from 18 – 40 Years

All the users are able to complete the transaction on merchant site and the rewards are reflecting in their wallet.
All the users are able to check status & transfer rewards to their Bitcoin Wallet or Bank Account.
13 users said, They loved the app and would like to see the browser extension version of it, as it helps them earn rewards better.

This MVP helped Grabeasy to test the market fit and raise the investment by getting initial traffic.
